About the role

We are seeking an organised and detail-oriented Training & Project Assistant to support the delivery of high-quality digital learning. The role involves maintaining accurate and engaging content on the Global Health Training Centre, supporting the production of online courses and webinars, uploading and structuring eLearning materials, coordinating translated resources, tracking platform usage data, managing the training inbox and supporting eLearners, and contributing flexibly to other projects across the Network while completing mandatory University training.

The position is set to commence asap and will be full-time (36.5 hrs per week) for a duration of 12 weeks with a pay rate of £14.51 per hour + holiday pay.

Key Responsibilities:

Duties:

 

  • Update and maintain the quality and accuracy of content on the Global Health Training Centre
  • Assist in the production of online training resources and coordination of webinars
  • Upload eLearning courses and other training materials to the Training Centre ensuring the structure, formatting and functionality are as intended
  • Coordination, tracking and uploading of training resources requiring translation
  • Record and collate data regarding the usage of the Training Centre
  • Assist in monitoring and managing the training inbox and advising/assisting eLearners
  • Assist other projects across The Network where required
  • Undertake any other requested duties appropriate to the role and grade
  • Undertake mandatory training as required by the University, Division and Department. The specific list of training courses may change from time-to-time, in response to both legal and internal University requirements

Selection Criteria:

  • Educated to A Level standard or equivalent experience
  • Ability to prioritise workload and produce accurate, detailed work within deadlines
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to work on multiple projects and prioritise workloads
  • Experience in proofreading
  • Great communication skills both written and verbal
  • Computer literate, including proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software (i.e. Word, Excel)
  • Ability to work effectively both independently with minimum supervision and as a member of a team.
  • An enthusiastic and positive attitude to work
  • Experience of working with online content management systems (i.e. Django) and content development tools (i.e. Venngage)
