We’re seeking a skilled Executive Assistant to support one of the Professors within the department and to help coordinate activities across his extensive research portfolio.
About the Role
This is a unique and varied role offering the opportunity to work at the heart of one of the UK’s most influential dementia research initiatives. As Executive Assistant, you will:

Be the first point of contact for the Professor, managing correspondence and diary commitments with discretion and efficiency.

Support high-level interactions by preparing briefings, coordinating meetings, and taking responsibility for minutes, agendas, and follow-ups.

Build strong working relationships with academic, administrative, and research colleagues

Provide logistical support for meetings, conferences, and travel (UK and international), including managing visa and insurance arrangements.

Play a key role in managing finances, purchasing, and post-award grant administration in line with university policies.

Contribute to a supportive office environment and engage with departmental administrative forums and university-wide networks.
About You
You will be a confident and capable professional who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced research environment. You will have:

Experience supporting senior staff, including diary and inbox management, and arranging complex travel.

Proven ability to manage meetings and events across in-person, online, and hybrid formats.

Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with a talent for drafting professional correspondence, minutes, and reports.
