About the role

For this role you must have experience managing HR processes and be qualified or working towards CIPD level 5 or equivalent experience. You must also have knowledge of UK employment laws and Home Office regulations. 

Duties:


Advise and support line managers and staff on HR matters, including employment law, policies and procedures, using appropriate communication methods and escalating complex cases where required.
Support managers with employee casework, organisational change and recruitment activity, including agency workers and internal contract types, ensuring compliance with policy.
Coordinate recruitment and onboarding processes, including maintaining records, delivering inductions, preparing contracts and ensuring right to work, occupational health and ID checks are completed.
Manage and maintain HR data, spreadsheets and databases, producing reports and ensuring accurate record keeping in line with legislative requirements.
Oversee key HR processes such as sickness absence, annual leave, probation reviews, flexible working requests and regrading, advising managers and ensuring correct documentation and storage.
Support continuous improvement of HR processes and policies, communicate pay-impacting casework to relevant stakeholders, and undertake training on employment law and internal procedures.

Selection criteria:

Experience of working in an HR team/role and managing HR processes
Qualified or working towards CIPD level 5, or have equivalent experience
Sound knowledge and experience of the application of UK employment law and Home Office regulations for Visas
Experience of operating HR information systems and producing management information reports
Ability to clearly and accurately communicate processes and procedures verbally and in writing 
Ability to deal accurately and confidently with numbers
Ability to develop professional and effective working relationships with key stakeholders
Experience of providing a high level of customer service
