We are seeking an experienced Senior Academic Administrator to join a centrally based Oxford University department on a 12-week temporary assignment.
This is a senior, high-impact role leading the delivery of administrative support across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. You will manage a dedicated team, oversee teaching and examination administration, and act as a key link between the department, the wider University, and divisional bodies.
About the role
You will:
- Lead and develop the academic administration team, ensuring high-quality service delivery
- Oversee administration of undergraduate and graduate programmes, including examinations
- Work closely with senior academic staff, providing operational and strategic advice
- Act as a key liaison with the wider University, Division, and external stakeholders
- Contribute to policy, governance, and continuous improvement of academic processes
What we’re looking for
Ideally, you will bring experience across the full breadth of this role. However, the essential requirements are:
- Proven team management experience
- Strong knowledge of graduate studies administration
- Experience liaising with divisions and wider university structures
- Previous experience in a similar role within a university environment
In addition, you should be confident working at a senior level, with excellent communication, organisational, and stakeholder management skills.
