About the role

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Communications & Engagement Officer to support the delivery of a high-profile health, safety and wellbeing programme. This role will focus on developing engaging communications, managing digital content, and supporting events to ensure key messages are accessible and impactful across a complex organisation.

Key Duties

Lead the planning and delivery of communications for major policy releases, including drafting content, coordinating approvals, and developing supporting materials and intranet pages.
Produce and manage a regular organisational newsletter, including sourcing and editing content, managing distribution lists, and monitoring performance analytics.
Maintain and develop digital content across internal platforms, ensuring information is accurate, accessible and aligned with branding guidelines.
Create a range of communication materials including web content, presentations, graphics and promotional assets, liaising with design teams where needed.
Support the delivery of key events and conferences, including coordinating logistics, managing communications, and producing event materials.
Provide wider communications support, including creating surveys, coordinating stakeholder meetings, and researching new tools and approaches to enhance engagement.

Selection Criteria

Educated to degree level or equivalent professional experience.
Experience managing digital communications and producing engaging web content.
Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to communicate complex information clearly to a broad audience.
Experience producing newsletters and using email marketing platforms.
Ability to work independently, prioritise effectively and manage multiple deadlines in a complex environment.
Proficiency in a range of digital tools, including content management systems and online platforms.
Demonstrated interest in digital innovation and the use of new technologies (including AI) in communications.
