We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused Receptionist and Facilities Assistant to support the day-to-day running of building operations. This role combines reception duties, facilities coordination, health and safety monitoring, and general operational support
The position is set to commence ASAP and will be full-time for an initial duration of 12 weeks with a pay rate of £14.51 per hour + holiday pay
Key Duties:
- Provide reception cover, acting as first point of contact and responding to enquiries
- Carry out basic security duties, including ID checks and opening/closing procedures
- Monitor health and safety through regular building checks and report issues using facilities systems
- Receive, log and distribute deliveries and manage goods and equipment movements
- Set up rooms for meetings and events, including furniture and AV equipment
- Support post room operations, including incoming and outgoing mail and franking services
- Liaise with contractors, suppliers and service providers
- Assist with fire drills and emergency procedures
- Monitor and maintain printers, arranging repairs and supplies as needed
- Provide cover across multiple buildings and support facilities projects as required
Selection Criteria:
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and email
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to use initiative and work in a busy environment
- Awareness of health and safety requirements
