We are recruiting for a Temporary Research Assistant to support an exciting sustainability project within a centrally based University of Oxford department.
This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to innovative research focused on improving the sustainability of UK pig farming and supporting climate-smart agriculture. Travel will be required as part of the role.
The Role
You will work directly with farmers across the UK, gathering valuable research data that will help shape future farming practices and sustainability initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct structured telephone interviews with farmers
- Accurately collect and record survey data
- Review figures and data for consistency and plausibility
- Provide regular updates and feedback to the research team
Essential Skills & Experience
- Knowledge of pig farming systems and terminology
- Strong numerical and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail
- Confident, professional, and friendly telephone manner
