We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Publications Assistant to lead the production of the College’s annual publication. This role combines publication design, content coordination, editing and project management to deliver a high-quality print and digital publication.
The position is set to commence ASAP and will be part time 3 days per week for an initial duration of 12 weeks with a pay rate of £14.98 per hour + holiday pay
Key Duties:
- Lead the layout, design and production of the College’s annual publication
- Coordinate the collection of articles, reports and content from contributors across the organisation
- Edit and format content to ensure clarity, consistency and alignment with brand guidelines
- Prepare accurate, press-ready artwork for both print and digital publication
- Liaise with contributors to clarify content and ensure deadlines are met
- Manage the publication schedule and deliver the project on time
- Maintain and archive publication and design files in line with organisational procedures
Selection Criteria:
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Lightroom
- Experience designing and producing publications, ideally for academic or institutional audiences
- Strong visual design skills with excellent attention to detail
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with colleagues
- Experience managing and formatting content from multiple contributors
