We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Graduate Studies Officer to join our busy Student Administration team. This key role supports the smooth delivery of graduate programme administration and provides high-quality support to students and academic staff throughout the student lifecycle.
The position is set to commence ASAP and will be full-time for an initial duration of 12 weeks with a pay rate of £16.57 per hour + holiday pay
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage on-course graduate administration processes including PRS transfers and confirmations of status, escalating non-standard cases as needed.
- Support the team with quality assurance activities by preparing and reviewing student data.
- Monitor visa status for postgraduate and fourth-year undergraduate students in line with immigration requirements.
- Provide timely and accurate information and advice to students on a range of issues, referring complex cases as appropriate.
- Help ensure the efficient day-to-day operation of the Student Administration Office by sharing responsibility for key tasks and maintaining professional service standards.
- Handle confidential student data with a clear understanding of GDPR and other relevant legislation.
Selection Criteria:
- Educated to A-level standard or equivalent.
- Strong administrative skills, ideally within a higher education setting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with sound judgement and discretion.
- Confident in learning and applying complex regulations and procedures.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and experience working with databases.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a busy team.
