About the role

About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Oracle Financials Test Analyst to join our Finance Division. You will play a vital role in supporting the development and delivery of high-quality financial reports through meticulous testing and strong stakeholder collaboration. Working closely with report developers and business users, you will ensure robust testing processes across Oracle Financials modules, while promoting a culture of continuous improvement and customer-focused service.

Key Responsibilities

Testing & Quality Assurance

  • Develop and maintain unit test plans and functional specifications tailored to individual projects.

  • Input and validate test data in Oracle Financials (Purchasing, Accounts Payables, Projects, General Ledger).

  • Execute detailed unit testing, log and report defects, and ensure successful remediation with internal/external report developers.

  • Design and manage User Acceptance Testing (UAT), coordinating with end users and resolving issues as they arise.

  • Maintain comprehensive issue logs, track defects through to resolution, and communicate progress to relevant stakeholders.

  • Attend project meetings, contribute to planning, and provide regular updates on testing status and resource needs.

  • Participate in project retrospectives to drive improvements in testing methodology and project outcomes.

Operational Excellence

  • Provide professional, efficient service delivery aligned with best practices and the Finance Division’s values.

  • Maintain up-to-date documentation of processes and procedures.

  • Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement.

  • Foster effective working relationships across the Finance Division and with key partners, particularly IT Services.

  • Support team operations by contributing to additional tasks and offering cover for colleagues when required.

  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) principles in all aspects of your role.

Selection Criteria

Essential:

  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience of Oracle Financials, especially in the Purchasing, Accounts Payables, Projects, and General Ledger modules.

  • Demonstrated experience using SplashBI to run and analyse Oracle Financials reports.
