We are seeking a motivated and organised Clinical Trials Assistant to join our research team. This is a varied role supporting the delivery of high-quality clinical studies, combining both offsite recruitment and essential administrative duties to ensure the smooth running of trials in line with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
The position is set to commence ASAP and will be full-time for an initial duration of 12 weeks with a pay rate of £14.98 per hour + holiday pay
Main Duties:
- Conduct offsite leaflet distribution, including door-to-door and business deliveries to support participant recruitment
- Archive study folders, catalogue materials, and manage manual handling of boxes
Additional Responsibilities (as required):
- Administer and coordinate logistical aspects of clinical trials in line with GCP and SOPs
- Liaise with study participants and team members to arrange and reschedule appointments
- Maintain and monitor study documentation, databases, spreadsheets, and equipment
- Establish and manage effective filing systems for trial documents and records
- Liaise with printing companies to prepare and order study materials
- Prepare initial supplies of documents and equipment for trial commencement
- Send weekly recruitment updates to study teams
- Attend and contribute to study meetings, including preparing agendas and recording minutes
- Create and maintain study databases to track recruitment and study progress
Selection Criteria:
- Demonstrable experience in an administrative role within an office environment
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong organisational and time management abilities
- Ability to work independently, using initiative and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and database systems
- Experience handling confidential information, ideally medical or clinical data
- Flexible, proactive, and service-oriented approach to changing study needs
- Ability to work accurately and follow detailed procedures and regulations
- Flexibility with working hours according to study requirements
- Driving licence with business insurance (desirable but not essential)
