To apply for this role you must have:
- Qualified or part qualified Accountant, or substantial experience of financial administration.
- Advanced numeracy skills coupled with demonstrated ability in financial management and analysis.
- Strong IT skills including experience in the use of the Office 365, particularly Excel, and the ability to learn new systems.
We are looking for a detail-oriented Finance Officer to support a wide range of financial processes within the department. The role includes monitoring and correcting GL transactional reports, posting journals and adjustments, raising AR invoices and SRF charging, and managing budgets for conferences, courses, and events.
The position is set to commence as soon as possible and will be full-time for an initial duration of 12 weeks with a pay rate of £16.92 per hour + holiday pay
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor the Finance mailbox
- Handle all invoice queries
- Processing expense claims, both internal and external claimants
- Processing Payment Request Forms
- Barclaycard Reconciliations
- Processing AR invoices
Selection Criteria:
- Educated to degree level or equivalent relevant work experience.
- AAT Level 3 qualified if possible
- Qualified or part qualified Accountant, or substantial experience of financial administration.
- Advanced numeracy skills coupled with demonstrated ability in financial management and analysis.
- Strong IT skills including experience in the use of the Office 365, particularly Excel, and the ability to learn new systems.
- Ability to interpret, apply and communicate regulations and procedures and translate them into day to day working practices.
- Capability to work autonomously, showcasing advanced organizational skills, along with the ability to prioritize tasks and delegate effectively.
- Demonstrable problem-solving skills combined with the ability to generate practical and effective solutions.
- Proven experience in managing teams, with a strong ability to lead and motivate colleagues.
- Demonstrate an ability to follow departmental guidance in handling sensitive and personal information, including complying with current data protection legislation.
