We are currently recruiting for a Temporary Payroll & People Operations Partner for a centrally based Oxford University Department. The position is set to commence as soon as possible and will be full-time for an initial duration of 12 weeks.
Key Responsibilities
Payroll Processing
- Processing payroll actions, including changes in hours and issuing related notifications
- Reviewing and approving salary submissions
- Processing and approving allowances and issuing notifications
- Managing permanent staff transfers, contract renewals, and leavers/exits
- Responding to payroll-related queries
- Running reports from the HR system
HR Administration
- Issuing reference letters and employment certificates (employment, visa, mortgage)
- Completing verification checks for updates to personal data, particularly bank details
- Administering grading and re-grading letters
- Supporting ad-hoc HR/payroll tasks, such as redundancy payments or salary overpayments
Requirements
- Essential: Prior payroll experience
- Preferred: Experience within a University environment, particularly with PeopleXD
