About the role

We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Senior Course Administrator to support the planning, delivery, and administration of a Summer School. This role involves programme coordination, student and tutor administration, on-site operational support, financial administration, and contribution to continuous service improvement.

The position is set to commence ASAP and will be full-time for an initial duration of 12 weeks with a pay rate of £16.92 per hour + holiday pay

Key Duties:

  • Coordinate planning and delivery of the Summer School with programme directors, tutors, departments, and host colleges
  • Act as the main point of contact for students, tutors, colleges, and stakeholders
  • Onboard tutors, manage course proposals, and support teaching delivery
  • Liaise with host colleges on accommodation, catering, accessibility, contracts, and logistics
  • Manage enquiries, applications, enrolments, cancellations, refunds and invoicing via Redpot
  • Maintain accurate student and tutor records in line with GDPR requirements
  • Prepare course materials, welcome packs, joining instructions, visa letters and certificates
  • Monitor enrolments and produce regular management reports
  • Provide on-site operational support during programmes, including supervising assistants and resolving issues
  • Work with marketing colleagues to support publicity and recruitment activity
  • Support budgets, purchasing, invoicing, refunds and debtor management
  • Design and analyse course evaluations and contribute to process improvements

Selection Criteria:

  • Significant experience in office-based administration
  • Experience coordinating courses, events or programmes, ideally in higher education
  • Strong literacy, numeracy, accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to follow established procedures and protocols
  • Flexible, collaborative team-working approach
  • Professional and confident interpersonal skills, with sound judgement and discretion
  • Strong experience using Microsoft Office and willingness to learn new systems
