We are seeking an experienced and student-focused Programme Manager to oversee the end-to-end delivery of one or more academic programmes. This role combines programme management, event delivery, stakeholder engagement, data and systems management, and financial oversight to ensure an excellent student experience and effective academic delivery.
The position is set to commence ASAP and will be full-time for an initial duration of 12 weeks with a pay rate of £18.80 per hour + holiday pay
Key Duties:
- Manage programmes from pre-arrival and induction through to completion, coordinating teaching delivery across in-person, hybrid and online formats
- Plan timetables, manage electives, and provide programme guidance to support student needs and wellbeing
- Organise and service programme and committee meetings, ensuring compliance with University policies
- Lead delivery of major programme events such as open days and end-of-course ceremonies
- Act as the primary point of contact for students, resolving issues and advising on policies, welfare and conduct matters
- Manage and escalate complex programme and student issues to senior stakeholders where required
- Build strong working relationships across departments, faculties, colleges, finance, admissions and academic planning teams
- Collect, analyse and report programme data for governance, rankings and accreditation purposes, driving continuous improvement
- Maintain and enhance virtual learning platforms and intranet content using University systems
- Prepare and manage programme budgets, monitor spend and oversee procurement using Oracle
- Mentor or line-manage junior staff and support team-wide objectives
- Provide flexible support across the team, including occasional evening or weekend work during key programme periods
Selection Criteria:
- Proven experience in programme or project management within higher education or a similar environment
- Strong customer service skills with experience supporting diverse student and stakeholder groups
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Experience managing budgets and financial processes
- Strong collaborative and communication skills across multidisciplinary teams
- Demonstrated problem-solving ability and innovative thinking
- High level of IT competence and confidence using learning and administrative systems
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
