About the role

We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Lead Project Manager to oversee the delivery of the FCDO Economics and Foreign Policy online course. This flagship programme serves cohorts of up to 200 learners and includes two masterclasses per cohort.

This is a pivotal role requiring strong project leadership, digital learning expertise, stakeholder management, and financial oversight. You will ensure seamless end-to-end delivery of the programme while maintaining compliance with contractual obligations and delivering an exceptional learner experience.


Key Responsibilities

Programme & Project Management

  • Act as the lead project manager for the FCDO Economics and Foreign Policy online course, overseeing full lifecycle delivery.

  • Manage preparation and delivery for each cohort (200 learners per intake), including two masterclasses.

  • Develop and implement detailed communication plans for learners, faculty, teaching assistants, and partners.

  • Identify risks and escalate potential issues or delays to the Head of Executive Programmes.

  • Support other executive programmes and workshops as required.

Digital Learning & Platform Management

  • Manage and optimise digital learning platforms to enhance the learner journey.

  • Review course content and recommend improvements in collaboration with external suppliers.

  • Troubleshoot end-user queries and deliver timely solutions.

  • Analyse platform data, progress reports, and evaluations for internal stakeholders and FCDO partners.

  • Build and maintain web content, including working with HTML and SCORM files, and support virtual learning environment design.

Stakeholder & Partner Engagement

  • Liaise closely with external digital partners, faculty, and platform providers.

  • Manage faculty contracts in collaboration with HR, ensuring compliance with Home Office legislation, including Right to Work checks and BPSS due diligence.

  • Provide high-quality customer service and engagement to participants and clients.

  • Contribute to alumni engagement reporting and programme impact analysis.

Portfolio, Budget & Contract Management

  • Manage contracts against deliverables, ensuring full compliance with agreed terms.

  • Oversee online programme budgets and financial tracking.

  • Set up and monitor online payment modalities and ensure enrolment numbers align with payments.

  • Review marketing strategies and enrolment performance with Academic Leads and the Head of Executive Programmes.

  • Lead on new online programme proposals and support contract negotiations with partners.


Selection Criteria

We are looking for a candidate with:

    • Experience in planning, preparing and execution of digital and hybrid events/projects.
    • Demonstrable knowledge of digital learning and user experience management on various platforms.
    • proven project management experience, with the capacity to handle multiple projects/tasks with conflicting deadlines.
    • Excellent IT skills with Microsoft Office Suite/MAC
    • Experience of web building via HTML and SCORM files and designing virtual learning environments.
    • High levels of accuracy and attention to detail when inputting data, providing information and when drafting programme materials
    • Experience in managing contracts, budgets and dealing with financial data
