About the role

We are seeking an experienced and proactive HR Advisor to provide expert HR support across the employee lifecycle. This role combines advisory work, HR systems management, employee relations, and project delivery within a dynamic environment.

The position is set to commence ASAP and will be full-time for an initial duration of 12 weeks with a pay rate of £18.80 per hour + holiday pay

Key Duties:

HR Advisory & Support

  • Advise and coach managers on HR policies, procedures and best practice
  • Provide accurate guidance on employee relations matters and staff management
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of HR policies and employment legislation

Administration & Systems

  • Maintain HR records and personnel files, ensuring GDPR compliance
  • Manage HR systems (e.g. Core HR), ensuring accuracy of employee data
  • Prepare HR correspondence and support onboarding processes, including inductions and compliance checks
  • Support monthly payroll processes

Relationship Management

  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the organisation
  • Support internal committees and wider HR activities

Projects & Continuous Improvement

  • Lead and support HR projects, including process improvements and system changes
  • Review and update HR processes to ensure compliance and efficiency
  • Develop and deliver training for managers and staff
  • Support initiatives such as wellbeing programmes and reward schemes

Selection Criteria:

  • Proven experience in an HR advisory role within a complex organisation
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice
  • Experience managing employee relations cases
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and stakeholder management experience
  • High level of discretion and understanding of confidentiality
  • Strong IT skills, including HR systems and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work to deadlines
  • Flexible, proactive and team-oriented approach
