About the role
We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Outreach Events Coordinator to provide operational cover during a period of staff absence. This role will be responsible for managing and delivering a busy programme of outreach activities over the summer period, including Open Days, residential programmes, and events involving schools, prospective students, and visitors.
Duties:
•
Manage and coordinate a programme of outreach events and activities.
•
Provide operational leadership and oversight of outreach delivery.
•
Supervise and support the Outreach Support Officer.
•
Coordinate and oversee Student Ambassadors.
•
Act as a key point of contact for schools, teachers, students, visitors, and external stakeholders.
•
Coordinate event logistics, communications, and administration.
•
Ensure activities are delivered safely and in accordance with health and safety requirements.
•
Respond to operational issues and maintain a high-quality visitor experience.
•
Support the successful delivery of Open Days, summer schools, residential programmes, and other outreach initiatives.
Selection criteria:
•
Previous experience delivering events or outreach programmes.
•
Excellent organisational and time management skills.
•
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
•
Confident communicating with a wide range of stakeholders, including young people and visitors.
•
Experience supervising staff, volunteers, or student ambassadors is desirable.
•
Ability to work independently and use initiative to resolve issues as they arise.
•
Flexible approach to working hours, with availability to work occasional evenings and weekends as required.
