About the role

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Programme Manager to lead the delivery and continuous development of a major degree programme. This senior role combines programme management, student engagement, event delivery, financial oversight, policy development and team leadership to ensure an outstanding student experience.

The position is set to commence ASAP and will be full-time for an initial duration of 12 weeks with a pay rate of £20.77 per hour + holiday pay

Key Duties:

  • Lead end-to-end programme delivery from induction through to completion, ensuring a high-quality student experience
  • Manage student groups, representatives and extracurricular activities, providing guidance and overseeing associated budgets
  • Prepare, manage and monitor programme budgets, working with finance teams and suppliers to ensure effective use of resources
  • Lead the planning and delivery of major programme events, including launches, celebrations, workshops and international activities
  • Manage complex programme projects and contribute to accreditation, reviews and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Develop and implement programme policies, processes and student engagement initiatives
  • Support complex student welfare, suspension and conduct matters, liaising with specialist services where required
  • Lead, manage and develop programme staff, including recruitment, performance management and workload planning
  • Analyse student feedback and programme data, producing recommendations and reports to drive improvements
  • Provide expert advice on student administration, policies and procedures to students, faculty and senior stakeholders
  • Contribute to senior leadership activity and deputise for senior colleagues when required
  • Use digital platforms and systems to improve programme communications and the overall student experience

Selection Criteria:

  • Significant experience in programme management and successful end-to-end programme delivery
  • Strong customer or student service experience with ability to manage complex and sensitive issues
  • Proven ability to develop specialist knowledge and provide authoritative advice and recommendations
  • Experience developing policies and implementing strategic initiatives
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement
  • Experience managing budgets and complex financial information
  • Proven team management and staff development experience
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional organisational skills with ability to manage competing priorities under pressure
  • High level of IT literacy with confidence adopting new technologies and systems
