About the role

We are seeking an organised, proactive and customer-focused administrator to provide support to an Education Team. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to the smooth running of undergraduate education programmes, supporting students and academic colleagues through a range of administrative activities.

About the Role

As the first point of contact for undergraduate students, you will provide a welcoming and responsive service, handling enquiries and ensuring that information is accurate and up to date. You will support the maintenance of online resources, including the website and CANVAS, as well as lecture lists and prospectus information.

You will respond to queries received through the shared inbox, liaise with academic colleagues to obtain information and communicate requested changes. You will also assist with preparations for Hilary Term, following up on outstanding information and helping to ensure that key materials are ready in advance.

The role will include supporting the admissions process by reviewing information and directing students to relevant resources to answer their queries. You will also provide committee and meeting support, including compiling agendas and drafting minutes.

Working closely with colleagues, you will assist the Acting Undergraduate Studies Officer with administrative tasks appropriate to the grade and contribute to ad hoc programme administration and projects as required.

About You

You will have experience of providing administrative support and delivering a customer-focused service, with the ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively to deadlines. You will be confident communicating with students and academic colleagues, able to follow established procedures and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.

Strong organisational skills, good computer literacy and a proactive approach to resolving queries will be important to your success in this role.

Selection Criteria

  • Experience of managing administrative processes and customer facing work.
  • The ability to interpret, apply and communicate regulations and procedures.
  • Good computer literacy, particularly MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Previous experience of working as part of a team in an office environment.
