We are seeking a proactive and highly organised Catering Administrator to support the smooth operation of a busy Catering Department. This varied role combines administration, customer service, and financial coordination to ensure the efficient delivery of high-quality catering services.
The position is set to commence ASAP and will be full time for the first 2-3 weeks, then part time (Mondays and Fridays 9 am -1 pm) for an initial duration of 12 weeks with a pay rate of £14.20 per hour + holiday pay
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond promptly to catering enquiries and manage the catering inbox.
- Maintain and update catering schedules, spreadsheets, rotas, and booking systems.
- Liaise with internal departments on dining numbers, dietary requirements, and event logistics.
- Place daily food orders, prepare recipe files, and circulate weekly menus to relevant stakeholders.
- Produce and display accurate menu and allergen information.
- Maintain accurate records of Fellows' dining and wine use, and update relevant systems.
- Process invoices, track expenditure, and maintain departmental financial records.
- Organise meetings, minute-taking, and support internal communication.
- Support compliance with health and safety and food hygiene standards across the team.
Selection Criteria:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office; experience with EPOS and catering databases is desirable.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Sound financial acumen, including invoice processing and stock management.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Willingness to be flexible with working hours as required.
