About the role

To apply for this role you must have:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Licensing Administrator to join our team, supporting the effective management of the University’s Microsoft 365 licensing environment. This role will be central to developing and maintaining robust administrative processes, managing license requests, and ensuring compliance across departments.

The position is set to commence ASAP and will be full-time for an initial duration of 12 weeks with a pay rate of £18.43 per hour + holiday pay

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and refine administrative processes for Microsoft 365 licensing management.
  • Process and monitor license requests, maintain an accurate licensing catalogue, and support financial recharging to relevant units.
  • Manage group-based licensing in Entra ID and support delegated access for IT staff.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including system administrators and licensing vendors, to ensure effective governance and service delivery.
  • Monitor usage, ensure compliance, and lead the annual license renewal process.
  • Track licensing changes, assess their impact, and implement necessary updates through testing and deployment.

Selection Criteria:

  • Proven experience managing service workflows and ensuring accurate usage tracking and cost allocation.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a demonstrated ability to improve processes.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills and experience working across teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; Power BI experience is desirable.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage documentation and systems with accuracy.
  • Capable of working independently and taking initiative in a complex environment.
