We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled IT Support Officer to join our dedicated IT team on a temporary basis. This role will provide vital 1st and 2nd line support during a major upgrade project, as the department transitions its Windows 10 machines to Windows 11.
The position is set to commence ASAP and will be full-time for an initial duration of 12 weeks with a pay rate of £16.57 per hour + holiday pay
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality 1st and 2nd line IT support, primarily in a Microsoft Windows environment.
- Provide assistance with hardware, software, printers, AV systems, and user account queries.
- Ensure compliance with data protection and IT usage policies.
- Maintain accurate records of support activity and escalate complex issues as needed.
- Occasionally travel to local satellite sites to provide on-site support.
Selection Criteria:
- Previous experience in 1st/2nd line support within a corporate or academic environment.
- Strong technical knowledge of Microsoft Windows systems.
- Highly organised and methodical, with excellent problem-solving skills.
- A collaborative team player with a customer-focused mindset.
