We are currently recruiting for a Temporary Laboratory Support Technician to join a department within Oxford University.
The position is set to commence ASAP and will be full-time for an initial duration of 7 weeks with a pay rate of £14.20 per hour + holiday pay
Key Responsibilities:

Collect and autoclave bio-waste, including CL3 waste and GMO, re-bag, and transport to holding bins for external collection.

Highlight incorrectly consigned waste.

Operate autoclaves following strict protocols, maintaining necessary records.

Arrange the return of recyclable plastics. Laboratory Glassware/Disposables.

Regularly tour research laboratories and collect used glassware for processing.

Remove labels, agar deposits, used pipette tips, etc., and efficiently load dishwasher trollies.

Deliver glassware, media and consumables throughout the building, replenish stocks of Duran bottles and sterilized pipettes in laboratory store cupboards.
