About the role
For this role, you will need to hold a master’s degree in a health-related discipline, have experience of research across African universities, experience of programme management within educational/research programmes and experience of engagement with relevant funding agencies. These criteria are essential so please take it into consideration before applying. 

Help shape the future of research and education across Africa in this pivotal programme management role. Coordinate global partnerships, streamline delivery, and develop processes that. ensure impact at scale. From planning to progress reporting, be at the centre of high-profile projects that drive meaningful change.

Duties:


Support the management of the research programmes through the application, awarding and delivery cycle.
Further develop project plans, including timelines, milestones and resource requirements for research programmes. 
Develop and programme guidelines, processes for applications for support and processes to ensure standardisation and risk management across all projects.
Be responsible for managing relationships and activities with local and global partners to ensure delivery of the programmes including the collection and dissemination of key data.
Liaise with the communications team to develop reports of progress and achievements to internal and external stakeholders.

Selection Criteria:

Hold a Masters’s degree in a health-related discipline.
Experience of the research and educational landscape across African universities and research institutions.
Experience of programme management within the lifecycle of educational/research programmes.
Exceptional organisational skills and the demonstrable experience tracking multiple activities in multiple locations.
Confidence to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with a variety of audiences and in a range of contexts including with Heads of Departments and colleges across Oxford and in institution across Africa.
Demonstrable experience of engagement with funding agencies relevant to the department’s mission.
