We are seeking a creative and organised Content Coordinator to support a digital project focused on museum collections and mental health. The role involves research, long-form content creation, stakeholder liaison, and collaborative working with cultural partners and young people.
You must be available to attend weekly online meetings with the Youth Advisory Group (Tuesdays 17.00-18.30) and the wider project team (Wednesdays, 11.00-12.00) as well as additional bi-weekly meetings with project staff at mutual arrangement
The position is set to commence ASAP and will be full-time for an initial duration of 12 weeks with a pay rate of £19.67 per hour + holiday pay
Key Duties:
- Research museum collections to identify artefacts and stories suitable for inclusion in a digital mental health intervention
- Write long-form narrative content (up to 500 words per story) for digital publication
- Liaise with cultural partners to source, develop and refine content
- Manage story development, version control and shared documentation using Microsoft Office or Google Workspace tools
- Coordinate with the project’s digital agency to ensure smooth content delivery
- Obtain permissions and consent for use of external text, images and other assets where required
- Attend regular online meetings with the Youth Advisory Group and project team, plus additional meetings as needed
Selection Criteria:
- Degree or equivalent experience in English, History, Art History or a related subject
- Experience creating digital content for public audiences
- Strong creative and editorial writing skills, with the ability to make complex material accessible
- Excellent written, verbal and listening skills
- Interest in collaborative work with young people aged 16–25
- Ability to work independently and as part of a wider project team
- Strong interpersonal skills and positive, collaborative approach
- Ability to manage workload, meet deadlines and maintain accuracy
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office, Google Workspace and online meeting tools
- Willingness to undertake relevant training and development
- Image editing skills desirable but not essential
