About the role
We are seeking a meticulous and organised Data Collection and Processing Assistant whose experience in data entry, quality checks, and research administration will support the smooth running of research projects.
Duties
•
Provide assistance with data entry for research projects.
•
Perform follow-up study data collection via telephone and deal with incoming and outgoing post.
•
Assist the research administrative team when carrying out missing data / quality checks by reviewing study documents, checking against query lists and contacting hospital staff for further information.
•
Support the activities of the research administrative team in study related activities such as creating study specific files from templates, copying documents and making up packs for meetings.
•
Ensure confidentiality and security of data at all times in accordance with the Data Protection Act.
•
Maintain accurate records and keeping an up to date filing system.
Selection Criteria
•
Educated to at least GCSE (or equivalent), grade C or above, including Maths and English.
•
Ability to demonstrate practical use of information technology systems, in particular database systems, Microsoft Office packages, e-mail and Internet.
•
Data entry experience with an ability to record data accurately.
•
Evidence of ability to work cooperatively with others to meet tight deadlines.
•
Demonstrate an ability to follow departmental guidance in handling sensitive and personal information, including complying with current data protection legislation.
•
Demonstrate an understanding of data protection and other statutory requirements and professional guidelines, such as ICH Good Clinical Practice guidelines
