About the role

To apply for this role you must have:

  • Experience developing and delivering group or visitor offers, ideally in a museum, heritage or visitor-focused setting.
  • Proven ability to achieve commercial targets and contribute to revenue growth.

We are seeking a commercially focused and collaborative Commercial Groups & Travel Trade Officer to develop and deliver a high-quality groups and travel trade offer. The role involves driving income generation, managing partnerships, and ensuring excellent visitor experiences aligned with organisational standards.

The position is set to commence ASAP and will be full-time for an initial duration of 12 weeks with a pay rate of £18.80 per hour + holiday pay

Key Duties:

  • Develop and implement the commercial groups and travel trade offer, contributing to sales strategy and revenue growth
  • Support pricing, commission structures and financial planning to optimise income and efficiency
  • Coordinate booking processes and delivery of group experiences with internal teams and partners
  • Act as the main point of contact for trade enquiries and partnerships, managing relationships with external stakeholders
  • Monitor performance through data analysis and reporting, producing regular updates and sharing insights
  • Work with marketing and external partners to ensure accurate promotion across trade channels and events
  • Promote inclusive and sustainable practices in the design and delivery of group experiences
  • Participate in cross-organisational working groups, sharing best practice and supporting collaborative initiatives

Selection Criteria:

  • Experience developing and delivering group or visitor offers, ideally in a museum, heritage or visitor-focused setting
  • Proven ability to achieve commercial targets and contribute to revenue growth
  • Strong stakeholder management and partnership-building skills
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and solve problems effectively
  • Strong written skills with attention to detail in reporting and documentation
  • Experience supporting staff, volunteers or freelancers in delivering programmes
