We are seeking an organised and proactive Faculty Support Assistant to provide administrative support within a busy academic office. This job-share role focuses on supporting faculty operations, communications, records management and events.
The position is set to commence ASAP and will be part time 11-18 hrs p/w for an initial duration of 12 weeks with a pay rate of £14.98 per hour + holiday pay
Key Duties:
- Act as first point of contact for enquiries via email, phone and in person, providing guidance on procedures and regulations
- Maintain accurate faculty records, including membership lists and mailing lists
- Support committee administration, including preparing agendas, circulating papers and drafting minutes
- Produce and maintain communications, including website content, newsletters and SharePoint updates
- Provide administrative support for academic programmes and short courses
- Schedule meetings for senior staff in collaboration with colleagues
- Undertake general office duties, including managing post and ordering supplies
- Support faculty events, including organising catering and providing on-site assistance
Selection Criteria:
- A-level education or equivalent experience
- Strong IT skills, including Excel, Outlook, Word and SharePoint
- Ability to interpret and communicate procedures and regulations
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and use sound judgement
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proactive, flexible approach with strong team-working ability
