Key Responsibilities
- Conduct research into innovative therapeutic approaches for rare genetic conditions
- Design and perform laboratory-based experiments using cell culture models and molecular biology techniques
- Analyse experimental data, test hypotheses, and refine research strategies accordingly
- Collaborate with internal teams and international research partners
- Support general laboratory operations, including stock control and administrative tasks
Essential Criteria
To be considered for this role you MUST have the following
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific discipline (e.g. Biology, Biomedical Sciences, Neuroscience, Biotechnology)
- Hands-on experience with mammalian cell culture and molecular biology techniques (such as PCR and Western blotting)
- A strong understanding of genetics
- Familiarity with genetic databases and tools (e.g. Ensembl, UCSC Genome Browser)
