We are seeking an organised and proactive Development Coordinator to support fundraising and donor engagement activities through effective administration, donor stewardship, data management, event coordination, and relationship support, ensuring high standards of accuracy, service delivery, and donor care across the development programme.
The position is set to commence asap and will be full-time (36.5 hours per week) for 12 weeks (with a pay rate of £16.92 per hour + holiday pay).
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative, logistical and coordination support for defined areas of fundraising and donor engagement activity, ensuring work is delivered accurately, on time and in line with agreed procedures.
- Coordinate donor stewardship processes, including acknowledgements and routine communications, ensuring timely and consistent delivery.
- Maintain accurate records on relevant systems and databases, ensuring donor and prospect interactions are recorded consistently and acted upon appropriately.
- Produce and distribute routine reports, lists, prospect pipelines and management information, supporting colleagues with access to accurate data for fundraising activity and donor care.
- Coordinate administrative aspects of gift and pledge processing, liaising with relevant teams to ensure accurate and timely completion of required actions.
- Provide first-line support on relevant systems and processes, including supporting effective day-to-day use of the CRM database and related record-keeping requirements, and promoting consistent data quality and good practice.
- Support the delivery of donor visits, meetings and events by coordinating logistics, materials, communications and follow-up actions.
- Draft standard correspondence, meeting materials, reports and briefing documents, and undertake basic prospect research, ensuring accuracy, clarity and an appropriate tone for the audience.
- Manage diaries, travel arrangements and scheduling for team members, ensuring effective coordination of activities and priorities.
- Contribute to the review and improvement of procedures, record-keeping and ways of working, and provide cross-team support during absences or periods of peak workload to help maintain consistent service and donor care.
- To carry out any other duties which are requested by the line manager and are commensurate with the grade of this post.
Selection Criteria:
- Experience in administration, project coordination, fundraising support, stakeholder support or a similar role in a complex organisation.
- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage a varied workload, prioritise effectively and meet deadlines while maintaining accuracy.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear, accurate and well-presented correspondence and other written materials.
- Experience of maintaining accurate records and working with databases or CRM systems, including routine data entry, reporting or queries.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to produce work of a consistently high standard.
- Experience of coordinating meetings, events, logistics or multiple concurrent tasks.
- Ability to build effective working relationships with a wide range of colleagues and stakeholders.
- Ability to use judgement to resolve routine issues, provide first-line guidance on established processes, and contribute to improvements in day-to-day ways of working.
- High level of IT proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with tact, discretion and good judgement
