About the role

We are seeking an organised and student-focused MSc Course Administrator to manage the day-to-day administration of a postgraduate taught programme. The role covers admissions, student support, assessments, finance and committee administration, ensuring an efficient and high-quality service for students and academic staff.

The position is set to commence ASAP and will be full-time for an initial duration of 12 weeks with a pay rate of £16.92 per hour + holiday pay

Key Duties:

  • Act as the first point of contact for postgraduate students, providing advice and guidance on course matters
  • Advise academic staff on relevant student policies, regulations and procedures
  • Manage postgraduate admissions, including applications, interviews, college liaison and visa/CAS administration
  • Coordinate on-course administration, including induction, course materials, student records and coursework
  • Maintain accurate student information across eVision, GSR and other databases
  • Manage examination administration, including exam boards, recording marks and preparing reports
  • Process tutor payments and support course budgets and financial administration
  • Organise and service course committees, preparing information on admissions, assessments and student feedback
  • Liaise with academic and professional services colleagues to support effective course delivery
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure timely communication with students and stakeholders

Selection Criteria:

  • A-level education or equivalent, with significant administrative experience
  • Experience in higher education, student administration or a similar environment desirable
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills with ability to meet competing deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to understand, interpret and explain policies and regulations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Confidence working with students, academics and a range of stakeholders
  • Ability to handle confidential information appropriately
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office, spreadsheets and databases
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
