We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Graduate Studies Administrator to coordinate graduate admissions and student administration. The role combines admissions management, student progression, data analysis and academic administration, providing expert guidance to students and academic colleagues.
The position is set to commence ASAP and will be full-time for an initial duration of 12 weeks with a pay rate of £18.80 per hour according to experience + holiday pay
Key Duties:
- Manage graduate recruitment and admissions processes, ensuring an efficient and positive applicant experience
- Provide guidance to applicants and academics on admissions, funding, visa requirements and relevant procedures
- Coordinate applications and complex admissions cases with relevant stakeholders
- Manage and analyse admissions and student data, producing reports to support planning and decision-making
- Maintain accurate graduate programme information across websites, handbooks and guidance materials
- Plan and coordinate graduate induction and other student activities
- Act as a key contact for current graduate students, providing advice on policies and regulations
- Manage student progression records and deadlines, identifying and escalating potential issues
- Support examinations, committees, student funding and welfare-related administration
- Maintain accurate records and handle confidential information in accordance with data protection requirements
Selection Criteria:
- Substantial administrative experience within a complex organisation, ideally higher education
- Excellent organisational and project management skills
- Strong attention to detail with a systematic and accurate approach
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to interpret and explain complex policies and procedures
- Strong interpersonal skills with tact and discretion when handling sensitive matters
- Ability to work independently, use initiative and exercise sound judgement
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt positively to change
- Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and databases
- Good numeracy skills and confidence working with financial information or processes
