Our College is undertaking a major redevelopment of its public website, and we are looking for a proactive and highly organised Website Content Assistant to join our Communications & Marketing team during the final stages of this exciting project.
Working closely with the Head of Communications & Marketing, you will play an important role in preparing, editing and uploading content to the College’s new website. You will help ensure that content is accurate, accessible, engaging and aligned with the College’s new digital content standards.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong writing and editing skills, good digital confidence and excellent attention to detail. You will enjoy working across a broad range of subjects, managing multiple tasks and deadlines, and collaborating with colleagues across the College.
Key responsibilities
You will:

Support the migration of content into the College’s new Content Management System (CMS).

Liaise with colleagues across the College to gather outstanding content and follow up on agreed deadlines.

Edit and proofread website copy to ensure consistency, clarity and accuracy.

Apply the College’s digital content guidelines and tone of voice.

Upload text, images, documents and other digital assets to the CMS.

Ensure website content meets accessibility requirements and follows web best practice.

Assist with quality assurance and testing, checking pages carefully ahead of launch.

Maintain content tracking spreadsheets and monitor progress against project deadlines.

Support the Communications & Marketing team with image selection, metadata and document management.

Carry out routine checks of links, downloads and page functionality.

Provide general administrative support related to the website redevelopment project.
Essential criteria
- Strong proofreading and editing skills, with excellent attention to detail.

Experience of working with a Content Management System (CMS).

Experience of working on a website redevelopment or content migration project

Knowledge of web accessibility and digital content best practice.

Experience of working with images, documents, metadata or other digital assets.
