About the role

We are seeking an experienced, hands-on and proactive Marketing and Communications Manager to support the delivery of marketing activities that generate leads, increase engagement and support business targets. The role combines day-to-day campaign delivery across email, web, events, social media and paid media, supporting both alumni engagement and summer school recruitment audiences. Working across a range of audiences, the successful candidate will create and distribute email communications, update website content, produce marketing assets and coordinate campaign activity across multiple channels.

 

The position is set to commence ASAP and will be full-time (37.5 hours per week) for a duration of 12 weeks, with a pay rate of £20.77 per hour plus holiday pay.

 

Hybrid working: two days per week onsite in central Oxford and three days per week working from home.

 

Key duties

  • Support the planning, delivery and evaluation of integrated marketing campaigns across alumni engagement and summer school recruitment activities.
  • Draft, build and send regular email communications using DARS and Marketing Cloud.
  • Coordinate campaign activity across email, social media, web and other digital channels.
  • Create, schedule and publish social media content across multiple channels.
  • Update and maintain website content.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders to coordinate campaign delivery and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Produce digital marketing assets and promotional materials using Canva.
  • Support the marketing and promotion of alumni events, Youth Education programmes and other School activities.
  • Draft and coordinate the monthly alumni newsletter.
  • Develop and review marketing collateral, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines and tone of voice.
  • Proofread and quality assure campaign copy and creative materials before publication.
  • Monitor campaign, email and social media performance metrics and produce regular performance updates.
  • Maintain communication schedules and support the delivery of planned marketing activity.
  • Provide general marketing and communications support to the wider team as required.

 

Selection criteria

  • Experience delivering multi-channel marketing campaigns from planning, implementation and evaluation across email, digital and social media channels.
  • Excellent marketing communications, copywriting, editing and proofreading skills.
  • Experience using CRM and email marketing systems.
  • Experience updating website content and managing digital communications.
  • Experience creating marketing assets using Canva, Photoshop or similar design tools.
  • Experience scheduling and publishing social media content.
  • Strong understanding of audience-focused marketing communications.
  • Experience coordinating marketing projects and managing activity to agreed deadlines.
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proactive and collaborative approach, with the ability to work independently and deliver to deadlines.
  • Experience supporting event marketing and recruitment marketing activities would be advantageous.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders under pressure.
  • Strong collaborative working skills with the ability to deliver to tight deadlines.
