We are seeking an organised and proactive Project Support Officer to support the successful delivery of strategic projects. The role combines project coordination, stakeholder engagement, reporting and administrative support, with responsibility for monitoring activities and ensuring key milestones remain on track.
The position is set to commence ASAP and will be part-time 2-3 days per week with the must for working every other Friday. The role will be for an initial duration of 12 weeks with a pay rate of £16.92 per hour + holiday pay
Key Duties:
- Coordinate day-to-day project activities and support delivery of agreed milestones
- Maintain project plans, monitor progress and identify risks, issues or potential delays
- Support project leads and working groups with administrative and coordination activities
- Organise project meetings, prepare papers and take accurate minutes
- Track actions and follow up with stakeholders to ensure timely completion
- Prepare project reports, briefings, management information and recommendations
- Act as a key point of contact for project stakeholders and communicate progress updates
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across different functions to support project implementation
- Attend working groups and committees and contribute to effective information sharing
- Support continuous improvement and effective project governance
Selection Criteria:
- Degree-level education or equivalent professional experience
- Experience supporting or coordinating projects and project activities
- Strong organisational skills with ability to manage milestones, actions and deadlines
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Experience organising meetings, minute-taking and coordinating busy schedules
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and problem-solving ability
- Ability to work independently, take ownership and use initiative
- Strong stakeholder management and collaborative working skills
- Familiarity with higher education policies and processes desirable
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and project tracking tools
