About the role

We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Programme Manager to coordinate the delivery of a complex international programme. The role combines project management, stakeholder engagement, financial administration and programme development across research and policy-focused workstreams.

 

The position is set to commence ASAP and will be part-time 18.75 hrs p/w for an initial duration of 12 weeks with a pay rate of £18.80 per hour + holiday pay

Key Duties:

  • Coordinate programme workplans, milestones, priorities and action trackers
  • Monitor progress and follow up actions to ensure activities remain on schedule
  • Support international partnerships, advisory groups and consortium activities, including meetings, briefings and follow-up
  • Coordinate research and policy workstreams across areas such as security, climate, technology and health
  • Organise workshops, roundtables and other programme events with internal and external partners
  • Develop and maintain project management, risk, reporting and document management processes
  • Monitor programme budgets, expenditure and financial commitments
  • Support procurement, contracting and grant administration
  • Contribute to donor reports, funding proposals, presentations and briefing materials
  • Coordinate recruitment, onboarding and administration for consultants, fellows and new team members
  • Build effective relationships with researchers, funders, senior stakeholders and international partners

Selection Criteria:

  • Substantial experience coordinating complex programmes or projects involving multiple stakeholders
  • Excellent project management and organisational skills with ability to manage competing priorities
  • Experience monitoring budgets and supporting procurement, contracts or grant administration
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including preparing concise reports and briefings
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with confidence working with senior and international partners
  • Sound judgement, initiative and strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a new, evolving and fast-paced programme environment
  • Interest in areas such as international security, climate, technology, health or strategic foresight
  • Strong IT skills, including digital collaboration, document management and spreadsheet tools
  • Collaborative and adaptable approach with strong attention to detail
